About our family farm
Wandering Creek Farm is our home; a small tea tree farm in regional New South Wales where the days are guided by weather, water, and peaceful routines tending to the land.
We grow tea tree close to the creek lines that shape this place, and we make our products in small batches with the simple goal of using few, natural ingredients that are kind to our home.
Where we are
Our farm sits in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, where tea tree (Melaleuca alternifolia) is native. It’s one of those rare places where the plant simply belongs. The conditions here do a lot of the heavy lifting, without us having to force growth with lots of inputs.
Our tea tree was planted over 20 years ago, and it’s still thriving; resilient, fragrant, and generous.
The creek that named the farm
Fiddler’s Creek meanders through our property in more than one spot, and the tea tree grows so close to it that the crop is sometimes inundated when the creek runs high. It’s part of what makes this place what it is: alive, changeable, and mostly unpredictable (but in a positive way).
Wandering Creek Farm is named for that movement and presence - the water that shapes the land, and the life that gathers around it.
Who we are
We’re a small wife-and-husband team, joined by our two rescue dogs, Jack and Daisy.
We live here, work here, and build this farm day by day, and we share it with plenty of wildlife too, which we genuinely consider part of the family (many of the farm's wild residents even have names).
We celebrate our resident, iconic Australian fauna and flora with the design of our brand identity.
How we care for the land
We take a practical, considered approach to sustainability — not perfection, but small steps that we think matter:
- Collected rainwater is the water we use across the farm (including gardens and steam distillation).
- We’re actively working toward 100% solar-generated power.
- We keep our footprint as light as we can while still making products that are dependable and high quality.
More than tea tree
Tea tree is the heart of the farm, but elsewhere on the property we also grow small quantities of other ingredients we use in our products when we can. It’s part of our ethos: to grow and make what works right here, source the rest carefully, and keep everything straightforward.
